High-Performance 2U Rack Server

The Dell PowerEdge R760 is a powerful 2U dual-socket rack server designed for demanding enterprise workloads, virtualization, databases, business applications, software-defined infrastructure and data-intensive workloads. It supports up to two Intel Xeon Scalable processors, providing high compute density while maintaining room for substantial memory and storage expansion.

Powerful Processing

The R760 supports up to two 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, with configurations reaching up to 64 cores per processor. This makes it suitable for virtualization environments, application servers, databases, analytics and other compute-intensive workloads.

High-Capacity DDR5 Memory

The server provides 32 DDR5 RDIMM slots and supports up to 8 TB of memory. A configuration with 32GB DDR5 RDIMM × 4 provides 128GB RAM, while the platform allows substantial future expansion as workload requirements increase.

Flexible Storage

The PowerEdge R760 offers multiple storage configurations, supporting SAS, SATA and NVMe drives. Depending on the selected chassis and backplane, it can accommodate configurations ranging from 2.5-inch drives to high-density 3.5-inch storage. Dell lists configurations supporting up to 24 × 2.5-inch drives or 12 × 3.5-inch drives.

RAID and Data Protection

The R760 supports Dell PERC RAID controllers, including options such as PERC H755 and PERC H965i. These controllers can be used to configure storage with different RAID levels according to performance, capacity and redundancy requirements.

For a customer quotation containing 2.4TB SAS × 2, the final RAID level should be clearly mentioned based on the actual configured controller and requirement.

Network Connectivity

The R760 can be configured with multiple network interfaces, including 1GbE and higher-speed Ethernet options, making it suitable for enterprise networks, virtualization clusters, storage networks and high-throughput applications.

Remote Management

The server includes Dell iDRAC9 for remote server monitoring and management. Administrators can monitor hardware health, configure the server, perform firmware management and troubleshoot the system remotely. Dell also provides OpenManage tools for centralized infrastructure management.
